Lots of things will be going on this summer. In the face of the 21st UN-climate summit which is doomed to fail, grassroots groups and organization in all of Europe are calling for climate justice, and take on the solutions themselves.
From August 7 to August 17, there will be once again a climate camp in the Rhineland Coalfield: to build the climate movement, to network, to celebrate, to inspire each other, to put into practice the alternatives we envision. Come along, bring your tent, your music instrument, your friends or offer a workshop! The camp will be an important milestone in the European mobilization for the COP21 in Paris at the end of the year – we expect people from all over!
Soon, there will be more information on this site! Please keep up-to-date!
On the camp, the summer school Degrowth in action: Climate Justice will take place from August 9 – 14. There will be lots of keynotes and panels with international speakers, as well as 4-day-courses, in which small groups focus on specific issues and work on approaches how degrowth and climate justice can be put into practice. For the courses, you need to register in advance, because it makes planning much easier!
And we heard the rumour that some groups named ENDE GELÄNDE are planning an mass action of civil disobedience in the lignite mine!
