As every year, we have decided on some key topic this year:
Topic 1: SELF ORGANISATION
With our focus on self-organization, we want to continue to improve the decision-making structures at the camp, but also support the many newly formed climate groups in their autonomous organization. Self-empowerment and independence lead to a sustainable change in society and the energy industry.
Topic 2: RAISING AWARENESS FOR DIFFERENT FORMS OF DISCRIMINATION
We strive to be a non-discriminatory space and to have open ears for those who feel discriminated against. However, we are also aware that a lot of work and critical questioning of one’s own behaviour and thought patterns is required to achieve this. That is why this year we want to look more closely at how we can implement this in the climate justice movement and at the climate camp.
Topic 3: ACTIONS & EXCHANGE ON LOCAL & GLOBAL ENERGY STRUGGLES
With our “bouquet of action flowers” for local and global energy struggles we will offer various action formats and invite you to do the same! It is important to us to make clear that it is not only the “right” form of action that is needed, but a whole spectrum of different actions is necessary in order to fight our concerns sustainably. Thus also different “action levels” are offered, so that humans can look for themselves depending upon their needs and abilities the kind of activism, which fits to them. We want to show solidarity with energy struggles all over the world and network them with local struggles.
